Meet Troy: From Mirabel Alumni to emerging artist

A poetic journey from his dark past into his bright future. Mirabel alumni Troy tells stories of kinship care and drug-related trauma through poetry, song and stand-up.

Performing at this year’s Fringe Festival, expect a vulnerable exploration of Troy's experiences, giving an insight into what it's like to grow up with a grandmother due to parental illicit substance use. Troy draws on life events to tell his story, the challenges of growing up with parents with drug addiction and the heroes that helped along the way. Sensitive poetry, songs as landmarks and raw truths are all tools used to tell this story.
