A Slam Dunk of a Day
We kicked off the second week of the July school holidays with an epic sports day. Fourteen Mirabel stars aged 9-13 headed to MSAC in Albert Park for our very own basketball tournament.
Lead by our Mirabel youth worker Tia, an ex-professional basketball star, she taught the kids invaluable skills for on and off the court. They learnt the importance of goal-setting, sportsmanship, leadership, and working in a team – in a fun, supportive and active environment.
Our new sporting stars then finished off the day with a swim in the wave pool – the perfect end to an awesome sports day.
